Wakefield Hills Hi-Five Rules

Wakefild Hills Hi-Five Program
Wakefield Hills is a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) School.  We have developed a Hi-Five program with  3 behavioral expectations, Be Respectful, Be Responsible,  Be Safe and 5 Hi-Five rules for our school.  We also have a Hi-Five pledge that we recite daily as a school. We have also identified 5 areas and defined the expectations in each area.   When students are recognized for following the Hi-Five rules and expectations, they earn a Hi-Five dollar.  They keep the dollars that they receive in their file folder.  Once a month they are able to trade in their
Hi-Five dollars for a coupon or they make keep them to save up for a bigger coupon.  The PTO also generously offers bigger prizes, and students can trade their Hi-Five dollars for coupons for a raffle to win one of the prizes.
Please review this program and reinforce it at home as well.  Your help and support are needed and appreciated.

We are reviewing the rules in each area.  During the first week of school the class received 9 compliments from teachers on their hallway behavior.  They each earned a Hi-Five dollar for each compliment.  They are working very hard to learn and follow the rules.  I am so proud of them!

We have  discussed the importance of rules and the class has generated Classroom Rules for Room 129.  They have each signed the rules and we refer to them daily.  Please reinforce and support our classroom rules at home.
