Subitize, I just love that word!!!  That is one of my favorite math words.  I like to tell the  students "Be Wise, Subitize".

Counting to 120 To meet standard (1.NBT.A.1), by the end of first grade students must be able to count to 120 starting at any number.  They must also be able to read and write numerals to 120.

120 Chart Use the 120 chart in Homework Helpers of your child's MAGIC Book and ask them to find numbers on the chart. 

Numbers to 120  Print and cut the numbers. Have you child choose a number and read it.

Fact Fluency To meet standard (1.OAC.6) by the end of first grade, students must be fluent in facts to 10.   Fluency is knowing facts in 3-4 seconds.  In order to gain fluency, students need to practice facts daily. As we like to say in Room 129, "Practice makes improvement."
